Intel® Code Modernization Enablement Program for Developers
Intel is introducing the Intel® Code Modernization Enablement Program for Developers. Code modernization allows software traditionally designed for serial computation on a single processor to take full advantage of today’s multi-core, many integrated core and multi-node computing architectures. Through extensive use of parallelism, vectorization, and multi-threading techniques, developers can accomplish incredible performance increases on previously serial software. Intel® architecture allows developers to achieve these performance optimizations while also maintaining a unified hardware and software environment.
Parallelism will help us make the next leap in discovery, and modernizing key applications is the key to unlock those performance gains. With the upcoming launch of the first Intel® Xeon Phi™ Processors and next generation Intel® Xeon Phi™ Coprocessors, codenamed Knights Landing, developers have the opportunity to modernize their code today to take full advantage of the compute power of tomorrow.
Intel is committed to and supports code modernization. For a limited time, through June 27, 2015, and while supplies last, a special promotion is provided for the Intel® Xeon Phi™ Coprocessor 5110P and 5120D. As part of this promotion, Intel will be extending special academic pricing to developers at large as well as a free 12-month trial of our Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition with the purchase of Intel® Xeon Phi™ Coprocessor 5110P or 5120D. This promotion will enable developers to cost-effectively explore the benefits of Intel® architecture and jumpstart their code modernization efforts.
